This phrase is not used lightly, but rather, it is the essence of On Pointe Dance Academy.  We are so glad to have an inclusive studio that makes students of all ages (18 months +) and abilities (beginner - advanced) feel welcomed.  At On Pointe, we are a dance family that respects, encourages, lifts, and appreciates each dancer individually.

Miss Kelli is a NYS Certified teacher in PreK-12 Special Education, PreK-8 General Education, and Dance.  She is currently a Middle School Special Education Consultant at Warsaw Central School.  In 2021, she was awarded the “Warsaw Middle/High School Teacher of the Year”.  Her professionalism, dedication, and energy is evident in everything she does.

Through her extensive, 34 years of experience, Miss Kelli has studied ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, modern, musical theatre, hip hop, cheer dance, tumbling, contemporary, technique, zumba, and even merengue!  As a sophomore in high school, she performed in the 2003 Citrus Bowl Halftime Show in Orlando, Florida.  Her senior year included performing in 13 recital numbers, assisting classes, and even performing a duet with her dad!

Dance has always been the foundation of life and expression for Miss Kelli.  In 2009, Kelli received her minor in dance from SUNY Geneseo.  During her years at Geneseo, she engulfed herself in dance.  She taught dance to college students with disabilities through the newly founded LIVES program.  She initiated an independent study, instructing a merengue physical education unit to students at Geneseo Central School.  She taught dance at the Geneseo Kidstart Preschool and the R-AHEC Honeycomb Afterschool Program at Perry Central School.  She choreographed and performed for the SUNY Geneseo Orchesis and Dance Ensemble.  She later expanded her love for dance through coaching first place winning cheerleading teams at Warsaw Central, Batavia City, and Mount Morris Central Schools.  You may have even seen her locally teaching Zumba, tumbling, or yoga at Jacked Fitness in Warsaw!

 

All along, owning her own studio was Miss Kelli's ultimate goal!
